Dr. Lam always provides individual, personal care to each of his clients. I feel Dr. Lam really cares about his patients and their dental well-being.

Patient Oriented Doctor & Staff
While Dr. Lam ran behind schedule (about 30-minutes), his work is impeccable. I'm fearful of doctors & dentists since I was a toddler. While in dental school, Dr. Lam asked me to be his patient while in training & have been with him ever since. He's up-to-date in the latest research & equipment while providing good patient care (i.e. he explains his procedures, answers your questions, etc.). My only gripe is that sometimes he runs late on your appointment time because of the amount of "extra" time he spends on his patients' needs, which is a good thing. You would hate a doctor who doesn't have good bedside manners, & treats you like a number. Because I also book other appointments, this may cause me to run late when he's behind schedule.

I am very comfortable recommending Star Dental to you. Their services are more than sastisfactory. From the office ladies to Dr. Gary Lam they are skilled and take pride in their work. Dr. Lam especially goes the extra mile to explain and help with any dental problem. In my 70 years I have never had a better dentist.

Aahh Phenomenon in Denistry
Dr. Lam is an outstanding "Dentist" who utilizes technology, highly skilled dental instruments, and engages his patient's in dialogue to understand the procedure and expereience of the dental activity.
The service is a profound cultural change to listen to the patient to gain an understanding in personal need, that informs the patient of preventive and rountine dental hygiene.
The staff and dental assistants are very respectful and courteous. The environment is professional friendly in communications, explaining the dental options, and correspondence of all medical data and documentation. Outstanding Teamwork!

zoom whitening
zoom whitening treatment, wasn't told about the restrictions after the whitening such as no wine, red fruits, teas, etc. I told Dr. Lam about my vacation and should have been warned about these high maintenance restrictions.
On the other hand, the results turned out great. Dr was sensitive to my needs and gave me a blanket since I was cold and couldn't move on the dental chair.

Worth the trip
Dr. Lam and his staff are very knowledgeable, professional and courtesous. They make it worth my while to drive from Pasadena to Torrance to see them.

Pleasant, informative
Prior to being treated by Dr. Lam I seriously disliked dentists. Now that I am under Dr. Lam's care I am more educated about my future dental needs and proper dental care. I really appreciate the time that Dr. Lam and his staff take out to answer ALL of my questions. This is very comfortable and reassuring. No matter the intensity level of the treatment that I have received, there is no more trauma associated with my visits to the dentist.

Painless Dentistry
Dr. Lam and his staffs make me feel very comfortable during the whole visit. I'm very please with my experience with the office. I would highly recommend my friends and family to experience what he called "responsible dentistry".
